Navy Lodge Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Reservations can be made via the web page, BOOK NOW, or by calling 800-628-9466 24/7 for travel assistance.

Authorized patrons for Navy Lodges include:

  • Active Duty and their family members
  • Surviving spouses and their family members (18 years of age or older with ID card)
  • Reserves/National Guard and their family members
  • US Coast Guard and their family members
  • Delayed Entry Program and Delayed Training Program
  • Retired Military and their family members
  • International Military and family members (for leisure, contact the DoD Reservation Center for base specific guidelines at 800-628-9466)
  • Department of Defense civilians and their family members, U.S. Public Health Service, Red Cross, National Oceanic and the Atmospheric Administration
  • Others separated from the Armed Forces and their family members (0-100% Disabled Veterans, Caregivers, members under the Transition Assistance Management Program, VSI, SSB, Medal of Honor Recipients, former  POWs, and PurpleHeart Recipients
  • Armed Forces Exchange associates and their family members

    You can cancel or change your reservation by calling (800) 628-9466 or by calling the Navy Lodge directly.  Your reservation may be canceled at any time up to 1600 hours on the day of your arrival.
    You can reserve as many rooms as required. Group reservations can be made by calling the Navy Lodge of your choice directly.
    Check-in time at most Navy Lodges is after 1600 hours (call (800) 628-9466 for more information). Early arrivals will be accommodated according to room availability. Check-out time at all Navy Lodges is 1100.
    If you are on orders, a copy of your orders and current ID. If you are traveling for leisure we require your ID. You, as the sponsor, will be required to be present to check in your sponsored guests.
    Due to extraordinary circumstances your reservation may be cancelled. Navy Lodge will make every attempt to find comparable accommodations. For more details call (800) 628-9466 and ask for Guest Services.

    IS MY PET ALLOWED?
    Most Navy Lodges are Pet Friendly.  Pets weighing up to 70 pounds each are welcome, unless prohibited by law.  In addition, kennel information is available by calling the Navy Lodge where you will be staying.

    • Pets must be added to the special request section while making the reservation.                                                              
    • A one-time non-refundable fee will be charged at check-in based on length of stay.
    • Proper medical certification specifying that all vaccinations are up to date must be available and presented upon check in.
    • For multiple pets or pets over 70 pounds, guests must contact the front desk before making their reservation.
    • Pets must be in owner provided crate or carrier when left alone in the guest room
    • Pets must be on a controllable leash or in a carrier at all times when outside the guest room.
    • Guests are responsible for all damages to guest room and contents.
    • Service & Military working pets are permitted at all times.

    Your reservation for a late arrival is guaranteed with either a major credit card or an advance cash deposit (one night’s lodging sent directly to the lodge). For more information call (800) 628-9466. If your credit card is denied for any reason prior to check-in, your reservation will be canceled.
    The Navy Lodge accepts Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club, American Express, and Discover.
    Yes. Navy Lodge is the official government lodging when on PCS Orders. PSD requires a CNA when space is unavailable at Navy Lodge.

    Yes. Just show your orders at the local Navy Exchange and you are authorized to shop.
    Each installation has varying requirements for gaining access. International members should contact the security department of the installation they are visiting for information on base access.
    A reservation at a Navy Lodge does not constitute access to the military facility. Military facility access must be coordinated prior by the guest or sponsor through Base Security.
